First Steps Attendance Policy
Therapy services to your child are important as they promote development and assist you in how to help your child. TTLC asks for a 24-hour cancellation notice if possible. Please call as soon as you are aware that you need to cancel. It is the client’s responsibility to be available for all scheduled appointments, to notify the therapist of any schedule changes which require rescheduling an appointment, and to attempt to reschedule any missed sessions.
Please note that if your child’s therapist does not hold therapy with your child, they do not get paid. Therapists only get paid for services provided.
Cancellation = We ask for at a minimum of a three (3) hour notice of the need to cancel. Cancellations by a family impact your participation rate.
No-Show = This is when a provider shows up to the home or daycare and the caregiver does not answer the door, the child is not at the daycare, or the child is not present or able to participate in the session. Two (2) no-show/missed appointments over a continual four (4) month time may result in TTLC discharging your child from our therapy services.
Participation Rate = Session attendance must be at a rate of 75% or higher per therapy received. For example, the family needs to maintain three (3) out of four (4) sessions a month at a minimum to remain in services with TTLC.
If the family does not maintain 75% attendance, and/or you have at least two (2) no-show/missed appointments, TTLC will have your service coordinator discuss with you your participation to see what can be resolved.
A family not adhering to the attendance policy listed above may be subject to discharge from all First Steps services provided by TTLC.
We are excited to help your child/family reach their goals. Maintaining your weekly appointments will be a vital part of the success of the IFSP! Thank you for your compliance with our attendance policy, and we look forward to helping your child succeed.
